Meet Your Instructor

"Social media. Love it or hate it, we all know that if you're a business or organization, you have to be on it.

Hi! I'm Lisa Allan, owner of Freshet Creative Services, in beautiful Athabasca, AB.

I've been using social media for business for more than 7 years, I've managed social for non-profits and businesses, I've been certified for social media marketing... and it's still sometimes a chore. It's easy to drop to the bottom of my to-do list when I'm busy or don't have much to post about.

So I've developed this course with a dose of accountability to help build a habit. You'll have homework. I will too. We'll be checking up on each other's social accounts and giving feedback.

That's also why we're doing it live online, not just with pre-recorded lessons. We can discuss your goals, make a plan, exchange feedback and improve the skills you need to be efficient and effective.

I want you to walk away feeling confident that you can use social media to meet your goals, engage your audience and enjoy the process." – Lisa :-)

In this course we will cover:

What You'll Accomplish

Create a Social Media Marketing Plan

Having your plan written and organized will make it easier when you need to refer back to it. It outlines your business' goals and sets measurable objectives.

Create a Schedule

Whether you use a sheet of paper or an online organizer, having a schedule saves you time and prevents having to come up with a posts on the fly.

Have Complete Social Profiles

Some of your target audience might never visit your website, so making sure that all of your profiles are complete will make it easier for them to find the info they need to engage with you.

Understand Paid Ads

Setting up paid ads can be tricky. Make sure you are spending your budget effectively by knowing how to set them up to reach your target audience.

Build a Habit

Yeah, I know, I've already said that, but repetition helps build that habit!
