About

Creativity, as has been said, consists largely of rearranging what we know in order to find out what we do not know. Hence, to think creatively, we must be able to look afresh at what we normally take for granted.

Why Freshet?

Experience

My professional experience as a non-profit communications specialist provides me insight into your operations, the problems you're trying to solve, and your focus on your mission. I take a promotion rather than a sales approach to your communications.

My professional experience as a communicatons specialist provides insight on the most effective ways to reach your audience. I take a promotional rather than a sales approach to your communications.

Flexibility

I understand there aren't "one size fits all solutions to your communications needs. I can whip out a rush social media post or design your website from scratch. No ongoing contracts are needed. I also have no problem showing you how to do some maintenance work yourself.

I understand there aren't one size fits all solutions to your communications. Every project is tailored to your needs; from quick social media post to designing your website from scratch. I can show you how to manage your website and social media, too.

Collaboration

You know your organization or business better than anyone. That's why our collaboration on your project is essential. My process makes for easy collaboration. I know the questions to ask to get the essential info I need to deliver the best results.

Shared Values

The essential work non-profits, cooperatives and social enterprises do is needed to create better societies. I put a high value on that work. I also value honesty, ethics, care for people and the environment. Working within my values is important to me.

I enjoy working with non-profit and community organizations, small businesses and cooperatives, service providers, and the arts community. It is important to me that my clients and I have values in common.

I find inspiration in nature, both in design and in life. Camping in the forest is guaranteed to spring forth many new ideas!

I am thankful to be living in the traditional territory of the Cree, Beaver Cree, Dene and Métis peoples. I strive to create acts of reconciliation whenever I can.
